Some projects in serial communication

I know about serial communication using microcontroller. I need some topics for project. So suggest some topics that can be done using serial communication using microcontroller.

1. speed control of some motor with user input from serial communication
2. LED blinking sequentially.
3. Password lock and unlock.
4. generating pwm with serial input from user.
