HI

Need some clarification on fft computation. Say, in the signal which has noise, i am interested only in a single frequency which is not the fundamental but is very close to fundamental, so can i ease down my fft computation overhead. Like reduce the sampling rate and N for fft and see the tone of interest?

Put in other words, if i know the specific frequency i am interested in can i ease the fft computation.

Looking for help and thanking i advance.
