Software hang detection

I have designed a product which is both battery powered and adaptor powered .

Adaptor 5V/500mA and 2.4V NIMH battery.

When i am using with Adaptor system running OK , but when i power it with battery it goes into software hang state always /

I could under stand the problem.

After battery i am using bosster L6920 which gives 3.3V
RESET IC is TPS3823, where could be the problem and possible solution

what is your product? I mean which microcontroller u used in your product? check your current when you are using battery. and check your circuit where u connect battery to it.
