Hi,

I am doing study on a periodic boundary structure. Does anyone knows how to check the slow-wave factor of my design in IE3D? or any numerical solutions relating to the one that i obtained from simulation (S-parameters or patterns) to get the slow-wave factor? All comments are welcome. Thank you.

regards,

Slow-wave factor is defined as c/Vp or β/ko. ko=2πf/c and β is the imaginary part of the propagation constant (γ=α+jβ). You can calculate it from ABCD matrix or from S-parameters...
