Hi,
I am simulating a square law mixer and the input to it is RF+LO. What is the best way to combine RF+LO?

Use 2 ports and vcvs to add? But this screws matching since vcvs has high Rin and low Rout. If I put 50 ohm in parallel with port then I get incorrect NF?

Put 2 ports in series? I want to simulate noise figure and matching.

Use one port.
Almost all commercial simulator have ability of defining multiple sinals with one port.

However such situation is not consistent with real measurement using real instruments.

Do you understand NF measurement using real instruments ?

Hi pancho_hideboo,

I slightly read about Y factor techniques etc. Have never done practically. I have set LO as large signal for pss and RF as pac 1V. I hope I am doing correct

Hi pancho_hideboo,
I dont have an output port. Here is how my input port looks like.
