Simple exemplary programs in VHDL

I'm a beginner with this program...anybody has a sample program with this,,,,it will serve as my guide....just a simple codes only...like adding 2bits binary or decimal digits .....thank you...

-or you can find some books about VHDL (using Search option)

that's for VHDL

....

for Verilog,

there's the book of Morris Mano (digital design)
it makes you learn digital circuits by implementing them in HDL (verilog used here)
it's on the forum and it's a great book
