Hello
I have sim908 module
Actually i want to get GPS data. is there any need to connect to the network first, via simcard or not ?
when i try to connect to the network there is no success.
I connected VBAT and GND and pulled down pwrkey. the status LED is on and the NETLIGHT LED is blinking 60ms/800ms .
I don't know how to connect to network. the aria also has good signal strength.

how should i send AT command via serial port? I mean what is the data type? ascii, binary or hex?
please help
thanks

Hello,
You can do this using a computer with a USB RS232 converter,
you can send ASCII data via any serial port terminal software.
:-D
Hope this helps

Hello,
I connect SIM908evb-kit to computer via serial cable. When I run SIM908, see "I I I I" on monitor. SIM908 doesn't response to command that I write. Example: When I call up SIM908, see "RING" on monitor. But when I write "ATA <CR>", it doesn't give any response.
