Hello every one,

Is there any way to update the sim900 RTC time from mobile network? I am not able to find commands. There are commands to write and read in to the RTC register but I want to update time when the device powers up and I do not need to configure time again and again.

Thanks

I also tried the same but couldn't figure out one...

So, I would suggest that you send an outgoing SMS to the SIM900 module itself & the SMS will bear a time stamp which may be useful to you... I think that the time may contain delays depending on network conditions...

Alternately, if you are using GPRS of SIM900, then you may use AT command HTTPPARA & other associated commands to open link "https://www.google.com/?q=current+time#q=current+time+in+india" and get the current time... You may enter the name of your country or any other country in the URL to get the corresponding time...
