Sim300 gsm/gprs tri-band module

Good Evening,

Please anyone can tell me that how we can use only one technology at a time by using a SIM300 GSM/GPRS Tri-band Module as shown in the attached photo.



My question is that at a time we can use either a GSM Technology or GPRS Technology that which is useful to our project.

I think that the AT-Commands we are using will vary the technology. Is it correct or not.
