I made one unallocated memory partition by using windows device manager. Then i tried to install Ubuntu by using bootable CD. But, while installation, it shows only one drive that is my HDD. Any partitions are not shown. Please help...

Which version of Ubuntu?

Recent versions that I've seen show an entire HDD as something to be used (in which case everything on it would be wiped), but also have an option for advanced setup where you can assign individual partitions to specific directories like /, /usr, /home etc, what filesystem to use on each & whether a partition should be formatted or not.

Basically: look out for this "advanced" button in the install procedure, and use it.
