Hello,

I want to build a tiny sensor board based on a wireless microcontroller like ATSAMR21. I want also to include in the board one or two sensor. I want at the same time to have the ability to change those sensors if I want on the same board. So for example to change a temperature sensor with an accelerometer without changing the board. Is there a family of sensors that share the same footprint and use the same connections? Also does anybody know an other alternative solution to this problem? Thanks

You could design it with two footprints that both connect to the controller as if in parallel to each other and then only use one of them, or make the connection to the controller changeable by jumpers. Or two footprints with different connections to the controller.
