Hi
i'm would like to get the hardcopy of the screen by connecting with the GPIB port.
I cant find the manual so I don't know the procedure to use and even if is possible to get it.
I have tried with the MS710 protocol.
I can configure the instrument (Center freq, span etc.) but the commands for get some data from the analyzer must be different.
I get the message on the display "wrong GPIB command".
Do you have more info?
Thanks
Ettore
You can simply download the Softplot (Aphena Ltd.), 30 days evaluation software, working perfectly with the included Anritsu MS612 driver.
The 612 is the 611 5.5 Ghz extending version, FULL compatible in all aspects, except the frequencies above 2 ghz that the 611 doesn't support
You can also plot the 611a data with:
1) AWR Microwave Office
2) Agilent Genesys
3) (maybe) Agilent ADS
These products include a particular version of Softplot, also compatbile with the Anritsu MS611/612 Spectrum Analyzers
Hello Andrea
thanks for the advise.
I've tested the SoftPlot and even if is not fully compatible with the 611a I could find the right commands for get out the plotting data from the analyzer.
For all the people ( not so many, I guess) that want to know how to do, here is the list of commands :
The GPIB interface I have is the Prologix-USB.
Set the Prologix:
++mode 1
++addr 1 ( your gpib instrument address)
++auto 0
++eoi 1
FA OA (Get the start freq
FB OA (get the stop freq
RB OA ( get the resolution bandwidth
VB OA (get the video bandwidth
ST OA (get the sweep time
RL OA (get the ref level in dBm
AT OA (get the input attenation in db
O1 TA ( Trace A - get 1001 values for the Y along the X axe in numeric
O2 TA ( Trace A -get 1001 values for the Y along the X axe in hex (2bytes)
O3 TA ( Trace A -get 1001 values for the Y along the X axe in dBm
O1 TB ( Trace B - get 1001 values for the Y along the X axe in numeric
O2 TB ( Trace B -get 1001 values for the Y along the X axe in hex (2bytes)
O3 TB ( Trace B -get 1001 values for the Y along the X axe in dBm
every command must be preceded by:
++ifc
If someone is interested, I can post a simple program for get the plot and save the data as .bmp
