Hi,

I'm a newbie and this could be a stupid question.

I am keen on learning to "design" a SAW filter. I understand it involves simulating acoustic waves, but I am interested in knowing the steps in designing a SAW filter. Can it be not simulated at all?

What are the options and alternatives?

Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply Sunny.

My interests in designing SAW filters are purely academic hence no 'specific' requirements per se.
But for general specifications:

LPF at 0.5GHz, matched to 50 Ohm impedance lines.
Noise figure, order (if applicable) can be anything, since its for the purpose of learning.

Thanks.
