can anyone give me an overview how microprocessors are being tested (functional testing) today? im planning to write a thesis about testing an 8085 or 8086 uprocessor using an fpga. unfortunately, there are only a few resources i can find for this subject.
kindly see threads from this link:

previously, i posted a question regarding labview fpga's performance. but later, i finally decided to stick with xilinx alone.
also, can anyone please tell me how i can store a text file using xilinx? previously, i considered using labview because of its datalogging capability. but in the end, i found out that labview fpga has some limitations (it can only target NI modules).
thanks in advance
