Project of that satellite receiver for receiving weather maps from NOAA satellites was inspired by a project described here: LINK.
The only change was that the PCB was designed and few elements were replaced with other (TL072, filter in intermediate SFU455B, in input circuits coils wound on 7x7 carcasses plus trimmers in parallel, filter in demodulator desoldered from the old desk phone, transistor in input circuit BF966).

Pictures of assembled receiver (while testing):

Starting the receiver consisted of tuning input circuits and intermediates 455kHz and 10.7MHz.
Input circuits were tuned by means of MAX2606 (generator tuned 70-150MHz) plus SAA1057. Receiver was coupled with MAX2606. Then frequencies 137, 138MHz were given and input circuits adjusted to the maximum signal (multimeter connected to the SQ potentiometer).

Intermediates were tuned by DDS (AD5932 controlled by Atmega8). Antenna was made of PVC tubes (electroinstallation) with a diameter of 18mm and 38mm, copper cable with a diameter of 2mm, antenna cable RG58 and two-component adhesive.

Housing was made of aluminum profiles and 0,5mm thick aluminum sheet. Elements of the housing were glued together using two-component adhesive for metal.

For decoding, use the „WXtoImg”, for the satellites tracking - „Orbitron”.
