rs232 problem - MAX 3232 is not working

rs232 problem

hi:
In my board, I use a max3232 for uart.In the board ,it also have ams1117-1.8 and ams1117-3.3 , lpc2114,and LCD.The power supply is 5V.But the max3232 do not work.And I use another power for max3232,it works well.
I feel max3232 is a lower power chip ,why it down!

The max 3232 is multi voltage... 3-6v

I would suggest using the same supply as the micro you are trying to interface, also look at page 7 of the datasheet for cap values for the right voltage.
