ca3080 rohs

Hi

Does anyone know of a RoHS compliant equivelant IC to the old Harris/Intersil CA3080 Transconductance Opamp? Or are any of the far east fabs still making them? I need to use one in a new design.

Many thanks

Rich

I just found the National LM13700 part which looks like it will do the job and is RoHS compliant, shame it is a dual version though I only need a single. (8pin vs 16 pin package)

linearizer ca3080

Hi,

The CA3080, CA3094, CA3060 and the CA3280 are still off the
shelf available components and you should'nt experience any
problems obtaining them.

Although you prefer a single amplifier like the CA3080, I
would advise you to use the CA3280, a modern dual version of
the CA3080. But if the second amplifier is not needed in your
design you could build that same circuit twice and connect
both circuits in parallel. Both circuits will function as one
single circuit with far better specs than the circuit with one
of the older OTA's and with the extra benefit of the linearization
diodes which are not present in the older devices.
The datasheets can be downloaded from the Intersil site.
