RHEL AS3 64bit and AS4 64bit on AMD system, also ic5141....

previously, i installed AS3 and AS4 on a 32bit system,and now i have an amd system (amd 754 3700+ , a 754 board from Asrock, ide harddrive) and plan to try the 64bit counteparts of AS3 and AS4, i want to hear your comments on any potential problems for this installation.

by the way, if ic5141 is installed on this 64bit system, how much faster could i expect compared to a 32bit system?

It is OK. Cadense has release to support 64bit box.
The obvious advantage is that 64bit box can support more the 4Gbyte memory.

i have only 1GB memory. In Average, how much faster it would be for 64 bit version if I use a 64 bit cadence ic?

I do not think there will be much improvement if you only have 1Gbyte memory. Because IC only has a few tools in both 32bit and 64bit.
