RF front-end and the tuner are same concept?

Hi,

what's the difference between the RF front-end and tuner?

I was a bit confused with them. Pls. help to clarify it.

I'd say a tuner is a variable frequency RF front-end, or - the other way round - an RF front-end usually is a fixed frequency receiver, not tunable.
