i did some research on reversible logic circuits in which the main theme is to reduce loss of heat so that power consumption can be reduced.
but i solved some papers of adder using combinational gates and reversible logic gates.i got the power consumption is more in reversible logic gates when compared to combinational logic gates.can you kindly consider this point and explain.

A digital combinational logic circuit is reversible if it maps each input pattern to a unique output pattern.

Thank you for your support. But beyond quantum computations what are the advantages and applications of reversible logic circuits
