Hi,

anyone knows what is the minimal signal power of PAL inputs on TV sets?

You don't mean signal power but signal level, do you?
(and composite video?)

Minimum signal level will be not less then 0.5Vpp at 75Ω.
Standard signal level is 1Vpp at 75Ω..

Thanks IanP,

Yes to both I did my measurements on a spectrum analyser so power (dBm) was the easier reference.. keke!

Seems like a really strong signal is required.... btw, could you refer me to any website with such details cause a search on the web did not return much useful info.... I'll need to know the locking range and AGC capability of typical tv that accept PAL input....

Thanks!

Spectrum analyzer?? Are you talking about the baseband video signal (nominally 1Vpp into 75 ohms), or the RF antenna signal input? "PAL" generally refers to the baseband video signal.
