Hi friends
I want to know whether any of you has designed an oscillator for frequency greater than 20GHz.
Suppose I want to design an oscillator of frequency 20GHz with 1 watt of power.
How to design such oscillator.
I have experience up to only 6GHz & low power oscillator up to 10mW.
Can any one help me regarding.
1) selection of transistor.
2) techniques used for such high power oscillator.

according to my information it is difficuilt to obtain high gain at this frequency.
so standard negative resistance generation ( make s11>>1) method may not work.

please help
Thank you

I am not able to see the file you have attached.
Offcourse I will use microstrips.
Only I can tell you right now is I want to design an oscilltor for 20GHz & power is 1watt.
If you can messege me your mail id we can chat & discuss.

Hi guys.
Lot of Oscillator experts are here.
Please help me.
Its urgent. I want to know whether Transistor can generate 1watt of power at 20GHz.
And Can I get Transistor fetail.
One of person did post But I can not see. May be he faced browser problem while posting. I got notification from edaboard but I can not see post here.
