Require 16 to 24-bit ADC with UART output

Hello,
I tried working with a 24-bit ADC AD7714 which has got a SPI output.But was unsuccessful.I'm henceforth looking ahead for an ADC which gives output by UART and has a resolution of 16-24 bits.

Kindly revert soon if anyone has a knowledge on this...

I2C or SPI do seem to be the standard output method for such devices.

You do not mention what micro and complier you are using and why you could not get the AD7714 to work ?

Also have to question why, for a diy user, you cannot use a typical Pic micro with an inbuilt 10 bit adc ?

adc have i2c, spi or parallel outputs. I dont know of an adc that have an uart output.
you could make one with a pic with inbuild adc, and uart output
but if you cannot make an ad7714 to work in spi, I'm not sure you will be able to make that adc-uart pic based device.
please describe why you cannot use tha ad7714 and may be we can help you.
