Dear masters

I should build a micro controller based circuit in very noisy and unstable place.Sometimes the base electric line has current changes in about 500~1000 A.The base electric energy will be prepare by a big diesel generator. So i need a very good power supply schematic (5.0v,Min 2A).what is the best power supply. Please help me for finding the right way.

Regards

If I were to handle this project, I would use 100µH/3A inductor and 4700µF/electrolytic+100nF/ceramic, and then LM350 linear voltage regulator, followed by 10µF tantalum + 100nF ceramic ..

Regards,
IanP

What about Switching power supplies? Is there any reliable switching power supply that could be easy to made and cheap?
