i need to know the relation between time storage delay and carrier life time of a diode and if there's a figure for it
also how to reduce time storage delay in modern technologies
i found a method called baker clamp but it's for BJT is it valid for diodes also ????
thx in advance

dear friend firstly you have to specify which diode it is?
then if it is either 1N4007 ,you can check the datasheet of it and find its parameters.

thx a lot for ur help but how it matters if i use a specific diode.........
in the circuit i simulate i use any diode and i need to know the general relation (if i inc tsd wat happens in tau......any help

hi dear ,it specifically depends upon the diode, for ex. PNJunction Diode have characteristics in forward and reverse bias,ZENER has characteristics in only reverse bias ,Tunnel & Gunn diode have Negative resistance phenomenon
Varactor has some different characteristics
so firstly identify the type of diode/ number of diode?
and then get the datasheet.
still the problem persists
just get the JPG. of the circuit/whatever it may be to upload in this forum:grin::grin: and we will try to answer it
