I had seen a solenoid ciruit design (Application sorting machine). In that circuit , They are using bridge rectifier IC but the application input voltage is 24 VDC...

What is the purpose of using bridge rectifier in the same?

Without a schematic or any other useful information I would have guess that the bridge is required because of the flux capacitor.
