I am working on solar inverter. Can anyone tell me what are the lab tools required for solar inverter design for home appliances and commercial use. And also tell me the best microcontroller for both solar MPPT charge controller and inverter design.

It all depend on your design many micro's can be used to generate pwm signals, i used pic16F876 to generate pwm so you can use many micro's to to that..
