ABOUT TICRA
TICRA Engineering Consultants provide consultancy services in various aspects of spacecraft and earth station antenna design, antenna farm scattering and near-field antenna measurements. Research and development of new reflector antenna concepts as well as design and analysis methods for such systems constitute a major part of the company's work. From its foundation in 1971 by three employees at the Electromagnetics Institute, Technical University of Denmark, TICRA has established itself as one of the leading consultancy companies in the area of spacecraft antenna analysis and design, and as a major supplier of software for various space antenna applications.
TICRA has many years of experience in the co-operation with space agencies and spacecraft manufacturers. A well-balanced mixture of fundamental research in computational methods for electromagnetic problems, development projects on prospective new antenna concepts and the involvement in actual spacecraft programmes has provided deep insight into the physics of electromagnetics, while maintaining a good understanding of the problems and constraints encountered on "real life" projects. Due to the company's modest size and flexible organisation we are able to respond in a timely fashion to our customer's demands, and many companies have realised that it is cost-effective to use TICRA for specialised antenna problems.
TICRA's software has been extensively used and tested for its applicability to practical problems, not only in-house but also by customers all over the world, primarily spacecraft manufacturers and satellite service providers. Maintaining a close contact to our customers is crucial for our ability to constantly improve our products, thus serving the antenna community as effectively as possible.
TICRA also designs and manufactures customized dual-polarized probes for near-field antenna measurements.
