Ooops, I thought Nokia uses ARM architecture with AMBA bus controllers, not Intel architecture! Quite interesting... How did you get this info?

Reconfigurable processor is a nice paradigm for new processors architecture. Imagine you can build your own instruction set, or imagine you can prepare differents set of instruction, and choose at each execution phase of your program what set you implement in your processor.
Some nice projects have been done in this domain in the 90s, with FPGA. They focused mainly on image analysis (DISC: The dynamic instruction set computer, by Wirthlin, Hutchings).
If you know other informations about similar projects, I would be very interested.
