I am studying image processing algorithm, like color mapping. Do you have any good papers or books etc. to share with me? My knowledge related to this field is so few.

Re: Image Processing

hi,
My knowledge is few related to this field too.
but what i did was as follows:
1-read the following book "Addison Wesley - Compressed Image File Formats-JPEG, PNG, GIF, XBM, BMP (Miano) (1999).pdf".
2-comprehend the structure of uncompressed bmp image.
3-comprehend the structure of the jpeg image.
4-Then i implemented a jpeg encoder with other 3 colleagues using ANSI C.
hope that helps
