avr freaks forum asm

Hello,

Do you know any others, or is AVR your first? If you know one, others will be a breeze. Go to Atmel's website. They have lots of documents. And, I agree with medra. BASIC is very easy to learn and BASCOM is an excellent compiler. For a programmer, try this simple USB programmer. It uses a Mega8 chip.

learn bascom avr

i advice u to start with basic language with a bascome it is a very good compiler but it is take a large place from memory then try to learn a assembly
it give u good command

how to learn all about avr

U can use atmega 8535 for your first experience ...

cause this uC powerfull and have many recourse in internet to learn ...

and for compiler U can use winavr or maybe codevision avr

programming tutorials in c for atmel by bibin

8535 is obsolete device. Try with ATMEGA8 or ATMEGA16 and AVR studio or IAR AVR complier.

I wanna learn AVR

Wondering where did you guys get those AVR samples? Or just buy one.

I wanna learn AVR

as you are in usa you can request samples directly from atmel

I wanna learn AVR

No. Not really.
AVR samples are very very hard to get.
I tried couple of times, never get it. So forget it.
As a matter of fact, I do have two development tool which are available free from distributor. But no sample available here. The FAE from ATMEL does called couple of times, nothing happened after.

I wanna learn AVR

so buy the chips it's not expensive and you got the kits for free

I wanna learn AVR

True, The issue is I have spent all my time to fight against Microchip Erratas on all my PIC designs (Never ever get a chip without a serious silicon layout issue from Microchip, It seems to me they never fully tested their chip before releasing the design. But, price is good and customer support is always No.1.).
So far, never get one moment to re-think about the AVRs. Will see. :D
