Hello all,
I have joined a to-be rapid prototyping centre and have been assigned to study and review the equipments needed in the centre related to embedded and control systems.
National Instruments are offering us a great package. I am wondering if I can get the list of NI competitors in order to get more quotations and designs. Getting design from different suppliers is always a good strategy to learn.
Rapid prototyping concept of NI is a bit expensive one where they advocate to use their PLC-like controllers (cRIO) for initial design and then transform the program to FPGA based stand-alone and ready-to-use module (sbRIO) without any re-configuration etc. It sounds very easy and will be reducing the time needed to bring an innovating idea to the market but will be expensive.
thanx
