couple of questions

1. What does the word STAMP mean in Basic Stamp?
2. PIc programmers can only be use with certain program to program chip?
3. Can I program with C using JDM PIC programmer? What is JDM?

PIC programmers burns all kind of file, but only HEX files, compiled for the right pic will make you microcontroler work.

After you compile the program you will have a HEX file, this is the file that the uC need. JDM is a very simple PIC Programmer. More information: **broken link removed**

Yes. But some programmers have a full suit of development.
