Hello,

Attachment is my hand drawing, the stepdown isolated transfomer 100:1 is used to measure the phase waveform of 120vac. Only thing I am concerned, if the load 3000W is applied to my unit under test, does it affect or burn the transfomer ?
Thanks

Re: isolated transformer

Hello,

The load current doesn't go through your transformer, so it will not burn.

You have to take care of spikes. During switching (especially during off-switching), you may get a spike in the kV range. So be carefull not to damage your analog/digital input circuitry.
