Hi,

I designed subharmonic mixer in cadence. I want to find the conversion gain.

I do PSS simulation. RF=2.405Ghz LO =1.2GHz . If I set the IF freq is 5Mhz as a beat frequency, PSS is stopped at 2nd running. Error occurs.

If I set the beat frequency as automatic, It is worked well.

What is the reason for that?

For subharmonic mixer, How can I give the frequencies?

Please help me . Urgent.

It might be because of harmonic numbers..
N=2405/5=481 harmonics...( at least)
If you consider 2nd,3rd,4th etc. harmonics of the carriers, this will be huge number of harmonics.
I suggest you to use automatic beat frequency.
