Problems with installing software under SuSE

Hi,
when I try to install under Suse 81 an software it give me an error like: "can not find libtix4.1.x.x.so"
After that I found that the software is for RH7.1.

How can I solve this problem ??
Is here some SuSE users ?
 

I had a simliar problem, I found the package it belongs to and installed it from the Suse disks. The lib*.* I needed to install was from the package TERMCAP.

I installed all rpm related with libtix but the problem is still there...
 

i met the same problem when i install syn on rh. the answer is, to find this lib file with deferent version, then make a new link file with an old name as you need. try it.
