Hi

I have a problem with matching measurment. What is the meaning of the following question?

"Determine the transistor sizes for a 3σ matching of 1%."

Re: Transistor matching

it is the 3 sigma mismatch.

it means that the absolute value of the mean plus three times the standard deviation.

Re: Transistor matching

You mean that for this example:

ΔI/I=0.01/3 ?

Re: Transistor matching

nope.

if you have a pair of devices with mean mismatch of -0.3% with a standard deviation of 0.1%. the 3 sigma mismatch is 0.6%

3 sigma = |-0.3%| + 3 * 0.1%
