Problem with starting impact in order to download serial memories

Hi all,

when i start impact in order to download serial memories this message appear:
The idcode read from the device does not match the idcode in the bsdl file.

you probebly have problem with xilinx version support PROMs.
what kind of version and device you use ?

I use impact versio 7.1i the vhdl program is developed with Xilinx ise 7.1i

Are sure you chose the right serial PROM when setting up iMPACT?

Impact remembers the last project you opened in your previous session and attempts to open that project upon startup. I think your difficulty is that previous project is not compatible with the current memory chip.
Try cancelling out of those errors and opening a new project. This should allow you to specify a new device and image file.
