I would like to install the linux 6.2 redhat on my pc but I have some problem with the video card.
My ATI radeon7000 isn't recognized by the installation tool and I haven't found documentation about the work-around of this problem.
I've performed the installation choosing the "unsupported generic vga mode" option, but the result is very poor.
Someone can help me?
I think red hat 6.2 is totally out of date. Why not use a newer version, say, 7.x, which is better for most EDA tools. You can also choose the latest version like red hat 9.0 or mandrake 9.1 if you don't care about the EDA software compability.

lcg22,
unfortunately I have a software tool that run only on this version. I have tried it with a newest version (8 and 9) but the binary code is incompatible. I agree with you when you say that the latest versions are better.
