Hello friends.

I already had XP OS. Now I installed Ubuntu as dual boot option so that i can use both the OS which ever I like.

Now the problem is , I am using a cable net. So i need to connect to the internet from
Ubuntu. I used the configuration tool box. Then clicked on the wired connections. Used the Static IP address and given the details of the IP address, subnet mask and the default gateway.

But still not able to connect it to the internet. Please help me

Thanks and Regards
