Hi all
I am a university grad student and user of Cadence tools (not much of
admin though). I have slightly advanced knowledge of linux as compared
to beginners. I installed Ubuntu and upgraded to Hardy Heron 8.04 a
machine. Recently in one of our labs, Cadence 6.10 was installed. I
tried logging into it it remotely using SSH and running cadence using
the icfb command. I did an export DISPLAY command on the remote
machine and xhost + command on the local machine. It gave me some
errors about badWindow. The CIW does not show up but the library
manager shows up. When I try to do anything in it the whole cadence
hangs. There is some problem with display as I understand. I tried the
ssh -Y option as suggested by a few people on the net but it did not
help. I have a Dell Machine running Ubuntu with GeForce4MX 420 video
card(saw it in Xorg.conf), 2.66MHz Processor and 1 GB RAM. Any
suggestions are highly appreciated. When I try this from windows using
X-win32 it works fine. The errors from CDS file are listed below:
Thanks.
