i have made a 555 stepper pulse generator, but i do not have info regarding stepping pulse and how a 555 ic generates a stepping pulse, plz help any one.
The capacitor C3 charges via the pre-set when it reaches 2/3 X Vcc, the "discharge" pin goes short circuit to earth, and the cap discharges to 1/3 Vcc via R1. A pulse apears at pin 3. the process then repeats.

Looks like here 555 is using as a Astable Multivibrator... You exactly measure the frequency in Output pin [3rd pin] using the formula Frequecy = 1 / [0.69 * (R2 + 2*PR1) * C3] as per your circuit diagram... Time of the pulse also you can calculate by Time = 1 / [Frequency]... Then Working principle is clearly explained by chuckey..
