Problem in Configuring linux BSP for power processor

hi,

I am preparing linux for power processor (MPC8260). for this
linux version -----2.4.24.
Boot loader ---- UBOOT.

first i configure the uBOOT by using make gw8260_config command.
I got an error when i gave MAKE.

error is /sh/bin :line 1: powerpc-linux-gcc : command not found .

please give me the solution and the further steps to follow.

Have you installed powerpc-linux-gcc? If you have installed it, is it in your path?
