Hi,

Can anyone let me know in general the advantages and disadvantages of an RF-transmitter having LC-tank circuit?

Thankyou

Advantages: 1) a LC at the output reduces the radiated harmonics. 2) In the case of class-C amplifiers, it is mandatory as a fundamental principle. 3) Can help in matching the load.
Disadvantages: 1) you need to tune it. 2) Your transmitter won't be broadband.
