i need to connect switch as input and relay as
output

and ir sensor as input

As a programmable device PIC's input and outputs are defined by the user in the program. I am attaching a protel schematic showing a circuit i have builded and have worked so far and shows how easy it is to work with PIC microcontrollers.

P.S: in order to use the ICSP in this circuit add jumpers in order to cut the link of the Vcc of the HD44780 and the PIC during programming or it won't work.
