Hi

can any one differentiate the following terms in Microcontroller

Active mode, Idle mode , Stand by mode , sleep mode , power down mode and low power mode...

I have a confusion in these terms .. pls help me if any one knows...

Many of these terms are Microcontroller specific. You'll need to obtain a copy of the Microcontroller's datasheet you are using. The datasheet should indicate which modes are supported and what each mode entails. Charts or tables usually show the average power consumption of each mode supported.
