If we are using Same (PIC or ARM) Microcontroller in (16MHZ and 32 MHZ)Oscillator frequency.

In which frequency controller consumes more power?

Yes. Frequency directly related to power.

Power = K(Const) * Capacitance * V^2(voltage) * (Frequency)
 

Power consumption increases with frequency. In some controllers to minimize the power consumption controllers will run in a less frequency in sleep mode.
 

But ARM based microcontroller consumes only low power itself.

It's oscillator frequency is more than 50 MHZ...

I think me and malli_1729 forgot to mention another condition

Power = K(Const) * Capacitance * V^2(voltage) * (Frequency)
Edit:every parameter is for a same controller**
 

We given relationship between power consumed, frequency and other parameters..not given exact numbers..........
Based on Processors/Controllers power rating given some may be high power some may be low power.........

give references...Low power means...how much.... at what condition........
 

LPC 1313 Microcontroller consumes low power of 3.3v itself.

Its oscillator frequency is upto 50 Mhz..
 

The max external oscillator frequency for LPC1313 is 25MHZ, and internal RC oscillator around 12MHz. I suppose the frequency used is then synthesised to a higher system clock frequency. ARM processors will normally have several clocks for the different sections, that you may select with a lower frequency to save power.

Generally a higher frequency means higher current consumption, but some processors makes it possible to change clock frequency dynamically during runtime, to save power when the high frequency is not needed.
