Here is an power amplifier that I build 2*180w RMs
The amplifier has Dc control protection/start delay , Power level using lm 3915
Fotos and schematics and pcb in here
Very good amplifier run more than 2 years in a bar without any problem.
Alimentation +-52V to +-60V capacitor 40000uf or 60000uf/63V low ESR
Second alimentation 12V for the protection and led bar.
All tensions can be outputed from the same transformer if you build one
I recomend an Toroidal one
The osciloscope image is at 60% of power mesured with an 8 ohm load but I can pull out all power becouse the resistor that simulates the charge goes in flame
In the osciloscope image the probe is 10x attenuated
The led bar is simple just use an lm 3915 not dificult
Soon I put the layouts and component side
Any question please advise
Regards
i'm new member and need this circuit for very important and i don't know how can i get all this points to allow me to see files
can any one help me and send this files to me or to my email
thanks
Great circuit , do you have any futher details on this ?
I don’t suppose you have a write up on adjusting bias, and other construction info also how it sounds etc.
The sound is extremely good it has an good supension factor almost 180
You must not limited the power supplie to perform an good bass amplification.
The bias adjusting is almost regulated by the circuit you can see that not exist any cross-over distorcion.
The reason is that the power transistor are all Npn that why have similar caracteristics that dont need to be compensated very much.
The current is 90 mA.
The circuit has overload feedback and clip protection as you can see in the schematic
The output coil is an 18 spires of 1.5mm wire isolated with an diameter of 10mm
The coil of overload feedback is a single spire of the same wire and same diameter.
The drivers and the transistor of dc bias must be equiped with heatsink or acoupeled to main heatsink.
if you want to drive load of 2 ohm you can connect another pair of transistors with limiting resistor such as 0.01ohm for the current of each transistor be the same.
Power supplie must be configurated like the schematics or similar.
The layouts I will try to find then and posted here or make a new ones.
The input sensibilitie is around 200mv I think the generator in the photo confirms.
The distorcion is 0.09% and freauanci rage is 16Hz to 22kHz
The maximal current is 3.6 A
Regarding the construction the is not very much to say regarding if the person has knowlegment of build amplifiers.
In the image appears an non toriodal transformer but i recomend one for both channel or even better one for each channel. That depend the relation Quality/Price
I wiil make an new part list becouse this one is hand writed and my letter is very dificult to understand.
in the end of the weekend I complete all this an put another projects online.
Any further question dont hesitate contact
