hi all,
what is the exact difference between polar and nonpolar capacitors with regards to their application in circuits. what will be the result if i use polar caps instead of nonpolar caps and vice versa. what are there exact applications.

non-polar cap

**broken link removed**
you can read about the difference between polarized and non-polarized caps ..

you can always replace polarized cap with non-polarized one ..
just remember that polarized caps usually have large capacitance per volume compared to non-polar caps, so it might be hard to find a non-polar cap with an equivalent value ..

rgds,

non polar caps

I got the regarding info from the web link, Thnaks a lot
