Plotting E and H fields of a waveguide

Hi all,
To the Microwave Theory gurus:

What is the easiest way to produce the contour plots of the transverse E field and H field of a metallic waveguide of arbitrary cross section (e.g. circular, elliptical, rectangular, etc) for the various TE and TM modes (possibly using Matlab or any other software).
